In the year 1996, a large plot of waste land was purchased from the Government of Gujarat, on the banks of river Narmada in Bharuch, Gujarat state, and constructed a unique temple complex, similar to the famous Sabarimala shrine in Kerala, with 18 steps. The complex consists of five temples viz. Lord Vishnu, Lord Ayyappa, Lord Ganesh, Lord Shiva and Goddess Durga. The Pranaprathishta of these temples was performed at the hands of Temple Tantri Shri Azhakathu Sasthra Sharman Namboodiripad on 12th February 2001.
